Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by six wickets with 26 balls remaining after chasing down a challenging goal of 202 to start their TATA IPL 2026 campaign in a commanding manner.RCB chose to bowl after winning the toss, and they were rewarded almost instantly by rookie Jacob Duffy, who won player of the match with an incredible start in his first game. With a probing spell up front, the New Zealand pacer destroyed SRH's top order, dismissing Nitish Kumar Reddy, Travis Head, and Abhishek Sharma during the powerplay. SRH recovered from early difficulties thanks to a counterattacking partnership between Heinrich Klaasen and stand-in captain Ishan Kishan.
